Baofa is a permissionless protocol for launching and trading coins. Most coins launched on it will lose most or all of their value. The following risks are real and this page does not list every one.
Market Risk#
- A coin on a bonding curve has no value beyond what the next buyer pays. The curve guarantees a price for selling back into it only while it holds reserves and only at the curve's price, which falls with every sale.
- After graduation a coin trades on PancakeSwap v2, where its price depends entirely on other traders. The burned liquidity cannot be withdrawn by anyone, which also means nobody will add to it on your behalf.
- The protocol token is a coin like any other, with no privilege and no claim on protocol revenue. Its price can go to zero.
Creator Risk#
- A creator can hold a large share of a coin bought at the opening price, including through an initial buy in the creation transaction, and sell it into later buyers. Creator positions are visible on the coin's holders list and in the
Tradeevents. - The creator share of fees (0.30 percent of curve trades) goes to the creator or the people the creator shares it with. The protocol does not vet creators, coins, names, artwork or claims made in metadata documents.
- A metadata document is hosted by the creator and can change at any time; the app shows whatever it currently says.
Protocol and Contract Risk#
- No audit report has been published for these contracts yet. The engineering team's own testing and two automated scans are described under Assurance; they are not a guarantee of correctness.
- The diamonds are upgradeable by their owner. At deployment that owner is a single key held by the protocol's operator; the timelocked multisignature structure described under Roles and Governance applies only once the ownership transfers are executed. Until then a compromise of that key could change the contracts' code.
- The protocol depends on PancakeSwap v2 and WBNB, which are outside its control, and on BNB Smart Chain itself.
- Coins created by other protocols or by individuals can imitate Baofa's names and artwork. Only an address that reports Baofa's core as its
core()is a Baofa coin, and only the addresses on the Addresses page are the protocol's.
Operational Risk#
- The app reads prices and lists from the protocol's indexer. If the indexer is behind or unavailable, the app may show stale information; the chain, not the app, is the record of your position.
- Public RPC endpoints can fail or be slow. The app rotates between several, but a transaction submitted during a failure can confirm later than you expect. Use the deadline and slippage settings.
- The graduation keeper is an operational convenience. If it is not running, graduation still happens when anyone calls
migrate.
Programme Risk#
- Frenzy mode, when enabled, means the protocol's own programme trades on a coin's curve inside caps and a price band. It can lose money and it can stop at any moment. It is not a price guarantee.
- Token incentives and cashback are off at launch; if a schedule is turned on, its parameters are published here and can be changed by governance.
Your Responsibility#
- Only you hold your keys. The protocol cannot recover a wallet, reverse a transaction or return coins sent to the wrong address.
- Sending BNB directly to a contract address is a mistake that only the owner can undo, and only to the extent the funds are still stranded.
- Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. Laws on trading tokens differ by jurisdiction; you are responsible for complying with the ones that apply to you.
